Companionship Is the Longest Confession of Love

Back in middle school, I happened to hear this song.

It immediately suited my taste.

During the winter break of my third year of middle school, in the middle of the pandemic, I listened to it often; in high school, as the pandemic kept returning, I listened to it now and then.

Later, I learned that it was the theme song of a film, 《陪安东尼度过漫长岁月》, a story about a boy growing from university into studying abroad. It is a shame that I still have not watched it. If I get the chance, I will watch it someday.

It is not that I have no time. It is just that I have probably become a boring person by now. I rarely watch films or TV shows anymore; most of my time goes to work and games, and my days are dull to an extreme.

Fortunately, I still have the habit of listening to music. Although I do not listen to this song very often anymore, many songs now come before it. It simply lies quietly in one corner of my playlist. I have changed music platforms and devices again and again, too.

But songs cannot be replaced. They carry memories, and they carry the person I used to be. Whenever I hear this song, I think of the long years it accompanied me through.
